I did think it was a bit odd as if that were the case, any yellow in the quarter final given to a player already with a yellow would be redundant. The slate is wiped after the QFs, as it is in most tournaments. The intention being that a yellow in the semi, can’t get you banned from the final.
But two yellows up to and including the QF will still result in a ban for the SF.

To be fair I don’t think the ‘die hards’ are letting semi finals turn into charity shield type games. The cost involved is ridiculous and you can’t really blame someone not wanting to attendall of this but….It’s City in an fa cup semi final. Thats all you need to know, it’s not being played in Saudi or the US yet so I’ll be going. You don’t get to 50 having lived in Manchester all your life & been going to Maine rd from 4 year old to start making excuses about Wembley is shit, the kick off times are shit, the trains are shit. It’s our club and if the die hards let semi finals turn into charity shield type crowds we really are fucked.

I started going away in the 70s, jibbing the trains, begging, stealing, or borrowing to make sure I could get to games. Sometimes even hitchhiking, sleeping at bus stations etc. I will never willingly miss a trip to Wembley to watch our team. Our performance that day was Rank.It's arguably the toughest fixture in the country right now, Forest have been that impressive, they work like trojans, and seem hell bent on Champions League qualification and an FA Cup win ..... having said that I don't think they were actually any better than us in the game at the City ground a few weeks back, even though they managed a late win, and, if we can actually deliver better finishing this time around, then we CAN knock them out .... but we WILL have to at least match their work rate, and keep that Gibbs White quiet, as he appears to pull most of their strings!
