Me and my 2 brothers were in their end and spoke with quite a few blues but we didn’t congregate together until after the game

I remember seeing plenty of fans in their end, all at the front, after the game. They were obviously Blues and were gathering at the front to celebrate.

I’d like to say it’s a shame why there’s no specials anymore for big games , but they’d only bump up the price 30% on top of the rip off prices they already charge commuters.

I agree.
But has it anything to do with most trying to get a free ride, being totally arseholed, and causing havoc the whole journey.

On their day, at their best......Villa are much stronger than Forest & Palace.....and at their worst, Palace are far poorer than Villa and Forest. Depends how anyone plays on the day though....I think we got the middle of the 3.

Not as difficult as going in 87 away on the Tuesday night, no more more than 50 of us on the special.

Went outside to the smokers area at halftime and I don’t smoke. Saw a fox on m5 driving home in middle of the night ( RIP Jinx ). That’s proper football journey.

When they do run the odd special, like for the Cup Final two years ago, they’re pretty much the same price as the ordinary anyway. Maybe a bit cheaper.

For years the special to London grounds was £10. Although I’ve no idea now how that compared to the ordinary.

The guy in charge of the special, Howard I think he was called, always used to say that the number on the special was always almost exactly 10% of the total away support.

My fading memory is telling me it was a decent turn out that night. Behind the goal pretty full and a block of seats to their left in the main stand.

Any of other three semi finalists would prove difficult opponents for us simply because of the occasion, and their work ethics ..... Forest have won as many league games as 2nd placed Arsenal have ..... for me Gibbs White, despite his previous antics with Rodri, is one of the best players in the Premier League ..... Mateta, at Palace is an outstanding finisher .... and nobody needs reminding of Ollie Watkins qualities ...... not that any of these sides don't possess other players of quality such as Eze.

But, as you rightly say, it depends on who shows up on the day ..... we can match any of them IF we are really up for it.
