I think I read the other day that from now on every game has to be at the main stadium, which is unfortunate because I'd rather a full academy stadium than an near empty Etihad (unless of course the club push this game and can draw more than 7k fans - should be able to with a bit of effort).
Don't know about this season, but it has been the norm for the semis and the final to be played at the clubs proper stadium.
Come on City....... lets emulate the Class of 86 and 08 :)

The first leg of our FA Youth Cup semi-final against Chelsea will be played at White Hart Lane on Thursday, March 5.
This is live on ITV4 BTW.
Chelsea has confirmed that the 2nd leg is at Stamford Bridge.
For the 2nd leg of the final (Chelsea vs Fulham) at Stamford Bridge last year there was a 13,000 turn out. although the 1st leg was only 4,500.
Only 1 leg of the semi's exceeded the Mini-Etihad capacity and that was the 2nd leg of Arsenal vs Chelsea (9,700)
so if we get to the semi then there's probably good justification for using it for the home leg.
