No one thought Aguero and Tevez could play together but they did.
Hmmm. If they could play together so well, we wouldn't be looking T buying a £50m striker.

This is exciting, watched Atletico when on telly to see Aguero, carried on when he left. The first few times I saw Falcao I thought fuck my hat. We should snap up Atletico's scouts too.

Just a thought but what if we are loosing Tevez and Dzeko, having already lost Balotelli, I'd reckon we'd need more than one additional striker.

No doubting hes an absolutely fantastic player but £54M? That still a big risk
He's the best striker in the world. Tevez wages will cover his and the fee is Balotelli money plus what we will get for Tevez and Lescott in fees most likely.

We will shake the football world if we make this happen.

Yeah but can he hack at Stoke on a wet Tuesday night?............ :-)

I think the bloodied head wounds posted a few pages back of Falcao should answer this... he is no pussy boy and looks like a fighter ... as much as I love Cavani and wished we were in for him, this looks to be gaining some speed now...

If we continue to hear the "City are the only team to activate Falcao's release clause" talk over the next 5-10 days, I can see this being pretty legit.

Falcao may be the marquee signing the Barca have been after for city...

Does anyone know if we have sent any of our scouts/city reps to watch any Athletico Madrid games?

Is this a genuine question?

Aye but doubt it would be a player who cost more than £20m. Doubt we'd spend that actually. Think money would be spent elsewhere.

Yep! I genuinely do not know if we have tracked this guy a lot...

Also, did we track Aguero as much?

If the scum sell Rooney Falcao will be top of there list
I don't think he will. As Castiel stated in the Bale thread, when have the Glazers either paid or been willing to pay £50m for a player?

I think they'd either make one last move for Lewandowski or scout around a bit.

But they can't really, can they? Even with Tevez as a midfielder we don't score nearly enough goals when they're on the pitch together. Maybe that will change under a new coach though.

I'd still be very surprised if this comes off. Ill be even more surprised if we can field a good balanced working team with both Aguero and Falcao in it.

probably why we may have jumped out of the blocks quickly by paying the triggering the release... If Falcao accepts terms then this will surely leak a lot more.

really hope all this is true!

I'm sure Tolm said we would break the british transfer record at least twice this summer and looking at our other rumored targets of Fernandinho, Isco, Navas etc none would command that kind of price and none are strikers.

He also said you replace quality with quality ... This is crazy and a pure stab in the dark, but what if Falcao AND Cavani ??

Bear in mind the rumours of Aguero possibly heading back to spain next year, it would mean we wouldn't need to go into the market for another worldy to replace Aguero. If both are available, then why not try.

Was it not reported that Monaco had also triggered his buy out clause?.

I know this is impossible to believe, but apparently the press made it up!
I know it shocked me too!!!

Not sure that would work as a partnership, Craggers.

If Tolmie did say that he may have meant one of those two and Neymar who we were courting for a while but he looks nailed on to Barça now.

Perhaps...No.....Ronaldo?

I don't think we can afford to spend that sort of sum twice, personally.

Falcao/Cavani replace Dzeko.
Some young lad would probably replace Tévez.

If Aguero left, I could see us looking at Suárez (unfortunately). Or perhaps a lesser known and slightly unproven forward in Luis Muriel.
