If the scum sell Rooney Falcao will be top of there list
I don't think he will. As Castiel stated in the Bale thread, when have the Glazers either paid or been willing to pay £50m for a player?

I think they'd either make one last move for Lewandowski or scout around a bit.

United really need a top drawer midfield play maker and that's going to take up most of their budget. I think they'll try and keep Rooney for another season whilst they concentrate on a midfielder first and go with RVP, Rooney, Hernandez and Wellshit. They'll also be looking for a top class centre half soon enough as Vidic and Gobshite won't both play a full season unless Jones takes one of these positions instead of midfield.

Not sure that would work as a partnership, Craggers.

If Tolmie did say that he may have meant one of those two and Neymar who we were courting for a while but he looks nailed on to Barça now.

Perhaps...No.....Ronaldo?

I don't think we can afford to spend that sort of sum twice, personally.

Falcao/Cavani replace Dzeko.
Some young lad would probably replace Tévez.

If Aguero left, I could see us looking at Suárez (unfortunately). Or perhaps a lesser known and slightly unproven forward in Luis Muriel.

so nobody knows anything ?

Until now I haven't thought about the possibility that he could come to us. I have always thought that Cavani was our man, but now I am starting to think otherwise...

He'll be a fanyastic signing. from what i've seen of him, he's a complete striker (in that he's a good finnisher and can score a few headers). seems to work hard whenever i've seen him too

Same here mate. I was even preparing myself for Cavani and kinda liked the idea him being in a City shirt.

We could still end up easily with fuck all though. :)

But they can't really, can they? Even with Tevez as a midfielder we don't score nearly enough goals when they're on the pitch together. Maybe that will change under a new coach though.

I'd still be very surprised if this comes off. Ill be even more surprised if we can field a good balanced working team with both Aguero and Falcao in it.
Falcao isn't too dissimilar in style to Diego Forlan and the partnership he and Aguero had at Atletico was special. Aguero has never really even hit his Atletico for us as of yet. So I don't think it'd be a problem partnering those 2 up.

They already have a top quality playmaker in Kagawa, it's just that they insist on playing him out wide so they can shoehorn Rooney into the team.

A ball winner is what they lack.

I seem to recall some guy having dinner near txixi and when asked about falcao the reply was yes. The reply for Cavani was , " Mancini likes him "

Also Tolmie on the Cavani thread did say " someone bigger out there for us "

I hope I'm not disappointed but I am starting to get a funny feeling this one may happen

Meanwhile, it is understood that suggestions City are about to close a deal to sign Atletico Madrid forward Radamel Falcao are wide of the mark. City are not interested in the player.

Always said we're in for Cavani - Falcao is a smokescreen, keep the bidding high and warn off our competition for Cavani.

So we dismiss the reports saying he's not coming from the Mail as bullshit, but treat the reports saying that he is coming from the Mirror as gospel?

The mirror are tonight saying he's going to Monaco. It was the people who said he's coming to us. And the BBC tonight were just speculating on that.
