Been to my cousins daughters wedding receptin tonight, didnt fancy it, ended up having a great time and promised to see more of each other in the future....so in reality wont see anyone until the next wedding or funeral even.

Being an only child, married to a wife who is one of eight with an unbelieavably large extended family that all get along fantastically I really should spend more time with the small family I have and so tonight I am pledging a drunken promise to actively spend more time in making contact.....starting in about a months time of course.

Mine is Langton, tonights do was on my mothers side (Peacock) it was her sisters (Finch) daughter (Oakes before today - now I'm not sure what her married name is haha) over in Heywood/Middelton. Hope that makes sense?

Same thing happened to me earlier this year at my sisters wedding, i hadn't seen some of the family in years and was absolutely dreading the whole thing, but once i got there i was really surprised at how much enjoyed the day.

Lol,that sounds very familiar.Me and the Mrs went to my Neices wedding back in July,wasn't particularly looking forward to it,but i can honestly say it ws the best do we have ever been to.

i dont like family do's, i have a small family as it is so i always get invited the my gf's and i just cant get into them.

Went to my cousins 21st a few weeks back and had a top night. Not really too comfortable getting pissed in the presence of my mum lol but I had a great time in the end. Got a pretty weird family so it's always tense when we're all together in the same room!
