Assume this hasn't been particularly well publicised, as not seen it mentioned on here. Running for 10 days, City are allowing 120 people tour Carrington before we stop using it (now November according to the development thread).

An interesting look at the place, especially nice to see where the boys are on a daily basis, having only previously seen it on Inside City and the likes.

Parked up in Ferran's space. He, Txiki and Manuel have the three spaces closest to the entrance.

Started off in the Media Centre, a tiny little room, not much room at all, hard to imagine it bustling full of hacks.

Me and Mrs QR had a pic in the hot seat.

Onto the main building, via the car park (with personalised spaces.) - Samir's car was there apparently, not sure why as he certainly wasn't.

Upstairs to the restaurant, IT dept and player lounge. The window at the far end of the lounge is the infamous "darts" window.

Through to the gym, lots of motivational stuff up on the walls, a Mark Hughes special, apparently.

Out onto pitches via the boot room, smells....odd. Yaya apparently now doesn't keep his boots here now since someone managed to get in and steal a pair, his are now kept in a locked safe!!!
Paul the guide was a proper blue, and had plenty of stories about players and staff. Also had some godawful jokes.

Dressing room, bigger than I expected, plenty of stuff left lying around, suits in bags, holiday brochures, pictures of expensive watches. Joe had obviously left some of his stuff in the showers.
Apparently, the far corner locker (under "Professionalism", ironically) was Mario's, and when it was cleared out after he left, there was a wage slip which included his club fines for his final month at City....£100,000

bit different from when I played cricket there 20+ years ago when Shell owned the site.

Did you catch it on a 'stinky' or 'non stinky' day?
Only asking as i live not that far away from Carrington and have been there on days when the local farmers fields adjoining the complex are sprayed with manure and it reeks, that and the 2 local sewage works sometimes add to the stink.....looks a good trip though

Whats the chances of them holding an open day to auction off bits of the site like they did for maine road

I gave blood there many years ago when I worked for the CEGB at Carrington power station when it was the Shell Club. Hope the players have sweat as much blood as I gave lol.

I don't know what happened to the other pne but I have it on very good authority that there's an old woman living in one of Yaya's stolen boots.
Apparently, she has so many children, she doesn't know what to do.

Does anyone know what the expiry of the lease agreement there is? Did we build those buildings, are we re-leasing them etc?

Your lucky. The site of my old power station is Forrest Bank Prison. Not too many open days there.
