Tough one this, common consensus says Disintegration is the bands finest hour and track for track it most probably is but for me it'll always be Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me. Just Like Heaven is almost perfect, Catch is absolutely beautiful and How Beautiful you are is melancholy at it's very finest.

Robert Smith, you shy, awkward, eternally 15yrs old I salute you, your lipstick, your hair, your tight jeans, your big jumper and most of all your lovely big white trainers.

Oh and outside of the stunningly good couple of albums the band produced they've also managed a fair few great pop singles along the way.

One of the best examples of a band not afraid to branch out and embrace the mainstream whilst still managing to remain true to themselves?

yesterday i got so old
i felt like i could die
yesterday i got so old
it made me want to cry
go on go on
just walk away
go on go on
your choice is made
go on go on
and disappear
go on go on
away from here

and i know i was wrong
when i said it was true
that it couldn't be me and be her
inbetween without you
without you

yesterday i got so scared
i shivered like a child
yesterday away from you
it froze me deep inside
come back come back
don't walk away
come back come back
come back today
come back come back
why can't you see?
come back come back
come back to me

and i know i was wrong
when i said it was true
that it couldn't be me and be her
inbetween without you
without you
