My feeling is that Scarface is a perfect representation of 1980's excess. It is silly. I think it's meant to be. Its also unnecessarily and scarily violent. Again, a nod to how over the top the 1980s wereJust my view, but I believe Scarface is the most spectacularly overrated film I can think of. It has not aged well. So over the top and downright silly. Sosa is the only character in the film I like, and he's king of the bad guys. Have never understood why this film was such a cause celebre.
