To me live albums are much better than the original dreary mainstream releases for the masses, here are my favourite two.



Lots of anger from Jake on this one which made it a classic from the era followed by:



The original that was released was crap but Live "I know its over" is beyond doubt a triumph.

All cases where the versions on here are streets ahead of the studio versions.

Great shout. Though as a bit of a Minds addict, I’d direct you to the recordings of the tour before, Sparkle In The Rain, for definitive live versions. My favourite track is New Gold Dream and they butchered it on City of Light.

Alchemy is amazing and I defy anyone not to listen to the guitar solo on Sultans of Swing through headphones at top volume. Just brilliant.

And Rank, by The Smith's is also fantastic.
