With its release as a single in advance of Who's Next coming out 6 weeks later, Won't Get Fooled Again has a good shout for being the first synth song ever (as opposed to just an electronic organ). Stevie Wonder was playing around with it at the same time. Going Mobile on the same album has a lot more than realised, because the "guitar" solo running through the song is actually synthesizer, not guitar at all. Much to Roger Daltrey's disgust.

My first visit to the Hacienda was to see the Cabs in 1984

Great choice of bands MES.. Cabs Soft Cell and Bmovie..wow
Seconds too late by the cabs is the top electronic sound of all time for me,and Nag NagNag isn,t far behind.
Sleaze by Marc and The Manbas with the heavy pulsating bass synth throughout isn,t far behind either,
As for Bmovie,Mansfields finest..Nowhere girl, has to be the best track.

I don't know what constitutes synth and electronica, anyhow.

I prefer this to Zager & Evans

Is this synth music? Probably not.
