Looks like John Cleese and his daughter are rebooting Fawlty Towers, backed by Rob Reiner.

"The new series will explore how Cleese’s grouchy hotelier Basil Fawlty navigates the modern world as he meets a long-lost daughter and goes on to open a boutique hotel."

With Andrew Sachs no longer with us, Prunella Scales suffering with dementia and Connie Booth no longer acting, I'm not sure if this is a good idea or not.

Huge fan of the original 12 episodes. I just hope Cleese and his daughter do a good job.

Thinking on it further while I was enjoying a quiet Cafe Creme cigar outside as my log burner fires up, Ive realised where this comes from. Its The White Lotus, they have found a popular hotel and personal dynamic based telly show and are riding on it.

Surely not. Each one of the original characters where in their own right, characters, It wont be anything like the original. Peoples expectations will be too high.
No Manuel, no Major, no Sybil, no Polly and no brace of old dears. What could possibly go wrong
