Feel sorry for Kolo Toure

To be honest two or three Cup fixtures against reserve teams wouldn't develop them, if they stay focused and but in a good effort they will have opportunities to train and play with the first team and the really young ones have chances with the EDS hybrid NextGen squad.

Kolo Toure was one of those Mark Hughes signings that took us to that next level before we could attract the players such as Aguero, silva, Yaya, Nasri etc. Think everyone would admit that when we signed him, we thought he was a decent player and at the time he was probably better than what we already had apart from Dunne at CB. Its gone down hill for him after the drug ban and can only ever see him being a squad player from now on. If first team football is what he seeks, he wont get that anymore here with us. Wouldn't suprise me if he's sold in January, if not definately next summer.

Think the kids struggled a bit last night with the step up but that will come in time when they play in more senior games like last night. Though Suarez had good vision but was easily pushed off the ball. Again that will come with experience! Thought Razak battled away and got stuck in however was sloppy on the ball at times and was responsible for the first game. He reminded me a bit of Gelson Fernades last night haha!! A lot of ball chasing!!

The kids will get better with more game time and with training with the first team from time to time.

Eh?

Who do you support Marvin? City or the players?

I don't give a toss about individual players compared to the greater good. Feel sorry for Toure? He should have taken the moves offered to him last month then if he wanted game time, surely?

As for the kids... they'll get games when they're good enough.

It makes me laugh that everyone seems to want us to win every game, every competition... and at the same time blood three or four kids into the first team!

Sort your heads out peoples!

That's me, but at least a couple of hat-tricks for the strikers thrown in!

He's finished, completely finished at this level. We accepted offers for him in the summer but he wouldn't go, felt clubs like Bursaspor and Al Hilal were below him even though he'd have been paid well there, so it's his own fault now if he sits in the stands all season while he is paid stupid money. At least it keeps Yaya happy for a while to have his brother around.

Well he shouldn't have played like an overweight pub player then.

His time has been and gone and the sooner he realises it the better. He was a bad signing when we were a much worse side.

Agreed he has an arse fatter than a Summo wrestler's. Agreed his time has been and gone. Suerez and Razak are just both young players. Both need to go out on loan to a good Championship side playing week in and week out. Razak was awful last night but hey he's just a kid who will learn from it I'm sure. They both still have plenty of time ahead of them.

League Cup was his opportunity to play and Captain City.

What opportunities will he have now?

And what next for Suarez and Razak. For many City players the League Cup represented an opportunity to play and develop but now that chance has gone
And whose fault is that? All those players know full well that they are fringe members of the squad, and to make ANY sort of progress they have to impress when they get their (limited) opportunities. Last night, none of them did that. Thank you, and don't let the door slam on the way out.
