Pretty sure he's wrong mate but it would depend on your local bylaws. You need to find out at what point the new fence is grandfathered in and is now considered the property line. It might have been on his land 15 years ago but not necessarily now.He has said we can't touch them as it's his fence on his land. He also snaps of with his hands any branches of our trees that grow on his side of the fence, that's the type of bloke he is. Nobody on our street has a good word to say about him and his family.
