Fernandinho contract situation

Rumours again that Fernandinho will be offered a coaching role at City. Welcome but not unexpected if true with noises coming out from both sides over summer and Fern getting a years extension on his playing contract. Apart from his leadership qualities he seems to go out of his way to help overseas players settle, especially South Americans.

I think he wants to stay with his family settled in Manchester and would love a coaching role at City. He is clearly a positive influence on and off the field. Lets hope his coaching skills have the same impact.

Would take him up to a decade at City, matching the longevity of three club legends Kompany, Silva and Aguero. Deserves to be in that sort of company too.

I would love Dinho to be offered another year. As has been said many times, he is a great positive influence in the dressing room.

I would also be very happy, if he were to become a coach in Pep"s staff.

Sign him up for a 1 more year playing with a coaching role on top longer term, play him in the League Cup with a lot younger team around him and another couple of vets and let's get these youth up to speed for the first team at the same time.

He appears to have great football intelligence. Comes across really well too, think he would do really well in coaching
