Heard some guy on talksport earlier praising this guy to the hills and along with Jesus we will be a force next season.

You can bet your sweet bippy that we are going to transform into a super team this coming season. Fernandhino gives us the speed, mobility and sharpshooting that we haven't had in recent years. Add the blinding speed of Navas and we will be mighty hard to toss.

City is going to have a fantastic season.

I'm sure I'm not the only one licking his lips at the thought of next season already; we're clearly intent on bringing in some serious talent to the club. I think what some need to realise however is that top talent costs top dollar and this guy would appear to be a top talent. 28 is nothing for a top player these days... he has a good 4-years at the very top of his game if he's a pro and looks after himself and that's the sort of background checking any club would do before purchase - the sort of stuff we probably didn't do in the past with other Brazilians such as Jo! (who was 21? and crap). You can't have a team made up of 21-yr olds; you want a good blend of age and experience and we'll have that in spades.

I wish people would stop writing about what "we're paying" btw. "We're" not paying a dime. The owners own their own cash and will (apparently with little regard for the phantom menace which is FFP) spend it as they see fit. The one and only thing we need to do is sit back, light a big fat cigar and enjoy the ride!

Incidentally, on the subject of our previous Brazilians, Elano was a wonderful player although he did go missing rather too often, but certainly for much of his season under Sven he was a revelation and after the previous seasons' midfield offering of Dabo and Hammann it was like watching Jesus (the real one!) follow Paul Daniels!

Forgive my ignorance but would I be right in thinking that he's a similar player to Yaya?

I would say more tenacious and mobile.

More of a Ramires type.

That'll dink dank doo for me
. I don't normally get involved in transfer muppetry but if this gets confirmed I might go for a power wank.

When attempting to be Paddy McGuiness could you please say it properly, it's "that'll ding dang do doo for me" thanks.

Personally, I reckon a combination of Bojinov and Michael Johnson getting injured did for him and the team that season...

If we're being pedantic then it's 'ding, dang do' anyways, back to the subject in hand! ;)
