I would say more tenacious and mobile.

More of a Ramires type.

That'll dink dank doo for me
. I don't normally get involved in transfer muppetry but if this gets confirmed I might go for a power wank.

When attempting to be Paddy McGuiness could you please say it properly, it's "that'll ding dang do doo for me" thanks.

I do apologise. Where's the extra "doo" come from by the way? Thought there was only one.

-- Wed Jun 05, 2013 10:22 am --

If we're being pedantic then it's 'ding, dang do' anyways, back to the subject in hand! ;)

I've already edited it!

Soz, too late!

Does anyone think we'll sign all of these players:

Navas (pretty much done)
Fernandinho (looking the same)
Isco
Thiago
Cavani
Back Up Defender (Pepe?)

It looks like we want all them players but with Thiago and Isco already stating they're moving for more first team football where could we fit them all in?

Garcia and Barry out?

Sinclair/Nasri out?

Dzeko/Nasri out?

Txixi is gonna be a busy man!

Hopefully he breaks our bad luck with Brazilians
Elano was a good player for us
So was Geovanni...at least for the goal that won us the derby....I had a hand in that...I was sat right at the bottom tier opposite the penalty area line and Camel mouth kicked it out and I palmed it back onto the pitch...so these hands touched the ball that hit the net!!!
So was Robinho in his first season, he scored 14 in 31.

As long as we get the new faces in before shipping the old ones out I couldn't give a monkeys. Garcia has to go for me. If Fernandinho arrives his position is completely moot, I'd rather keep Barry out of the two of them for his experience, plus he'll probably more accepting being pushed to the side given his age. Dzeko will go, straight swap for Cavani. I think Tevez should go so that frees up an attacking spot for Navas/Isco. Sinclair should obviously go.

We must remember that we need a bigger squad than we had last season though. We had awful strength in depth really. We need to be able to rotate better quality players more and for that system to work with more changes.

You could always look at the threads in here that cover all the above players? Just an idea

Like Navas, Fernandinho appears to be a good signing, though I think the intimations that he is "quality", whereas those deeper midfielders already at the club aren't, do no-one any good. He won't make a massive difference, it isn't as though we're bringing Messi in to replace Macken, but he will improve the team, more in some games than others. I haven't seen many Shakhtar games this season (or any other) but what little I've seen suggests that, like Ya Ya, he's always there to receive, tackles well, backs up well and passes well. He seems to have a good shot. I think City's problem is that it is hard to bring in players who improve on what we've got, and if you can bring in 5 players who each improve 5% in 50% of the games, you can win the title instead of finishing second or third. Cavani is the one player who I think would improve the quality of the team all the time, so it would be good to get him in. And a manager wouldn't be a bad addition!

I can see Jesus and Ferandinho plus only 1 of Isco or Thiago, plus Cavani and Pepe. In addition I think we will sign back ups for left back and goalkeeper cover. I would imagine Pantillimon, Lescott (I would keep but doubt we will), Kolarov, Garcia and Dzeko (as Lescott for me personally) to leave. I think it is 50:50 for Nasri and Tevez, but both may well leave if the right offers came in. Something like 7 out and 7 in, plus big savings on Kolo, RSC and Bridge wages. Cannot see both Thiago and Isco, as Yaya, Silva and Aguero are going to be regular starters, as I assume would be Fernandinho, Jesus and Cavani, if signed. I would assume both Barry and Milner will stay as important squad members, as well as being good people and English. I am of course completely KFA (Edited - Sinclair to leave as well, not sure if he will leave in this window as not sure if he will be fit by end Aug?)

I agree we need a bigger squad, but all of them signings won't want to be squad players, especially Isco and Thiago who have moved for more time.

In an ideal world we would sign them all and rotate them so we'd have a class bench aswell.

A tricky balance to find, players like Sinclair and Garcia won't mind being on the bench but they're not good enough for where we want to be.

-- Wed Jun 05, 2013 9:57 am --

I think Thiago is the unlikely one, we will already have Yaya, Barry, Fernandinho, Milner, Nasri, Garcia who like to play in the middle.

I think he'll stay at Barca.

Yes he will, we have been missing a top quality CM for a long time its one of reasons why we are such a disaster in Europe.
