Ferran Soriano new CEO

For ultimate clarification looking at the statement (by Khaldoon) when Leslie was fired...

Sheikh Mansour and the board felt that there was no evidence that the situation would fundamentally change.

No mention of the previous permanent CEO in that statement and Soriano's powers will probably not be any higher than what Cook had.
Not be any higher? hehe Cook had plenty of power, Being CEO for a global muliti million pound company gives you power inside the doors.

We dont hear about the daily operation of the "company part" of city only the footballing part .

Hopefully this will be the end of Marwood (how long is his contract ? rolling 12 month or open ended ?) Hasn't got the clout needed to operate at the top table of world football to open doors and attract the best players.

Marwood is not on a contract :) Marwood is employed as everyone els working behind the doors.

He will get fired or given other responsibilities if Ferran want someone els in his place.

If I was a betting man (which I am not) I would say that Marwood will be replaced by Txiki Bergiristain who was director of football at Barcelona working alongside Ferran Soriano. I would say that this would be a dream team considering how highly rated both are within European football.

Good shout but not until this window is over, which makes sense.

Fantastic news!

It'll be interesting to see if he brings in any his own people.
Messi?

Nah... he's an overrated lump of cow shit. :)

But Txiki Begiristain as his right-hand man, and Pedro to complete our squad would be nice.

If he can put 10/15% on our revenue per year he will be worth his weight in gold. Light fellow mind;)

I wonder what he thinks about the capacity of our stadium. By the way, does anyone know what the latest is on a possible expansion? Will it happen?

Pedro is also not Catalan born, he;s from the Canary Isles, just like a certain David Silva.
