Sometimes, on the bench for bayern yesterday, similar to his time here already.
Unlike us, they have very good wingers in gnabry, coman and Davies also able to play there.

Our squad strength, unlike popular and media belief is nothing compared to theirs.

He was benched here cuz he wanted to leave.

One of his strengths is that he can use both feet. I increasingly see very strange things written as fact on Bluemoon.
Yeah I just wonder whether these people even watched the match. He was our ONLY forward player able to beat his marker (Spurs RB) with his LEFT foot. He is very two footed, maybe as much as KDB.

Unfortunately instead of hugging the touchline, he made his run towards the box and was trapped into taking the shot from outside the box. I wonder if we as a team have forgotten if cut backs to the Attacking Midfielder in space as a tactic exists.

This isn’t criticism, merely an observation and not entirely unexpected at his age and early stage of his career but he goes completely anonymous in games very easily. For all the slagging off mahrez gets, a lot but certainly not all of which is justified, he was a lot more threatening than Torres was against Spurs. I suspect we’ll be in for a frustrating first season from him until he settles fully

will Torres likely start the next couple of Prem games ?

It’s posisble but Likely? No. Pep will rotate his wingers regularly, sterling will play more than most when fit then mahrez and Torres will compete for the other flank and he has the likes of Foden and Bernardo available as wide options too. Torres will need to start impressing consistently when he gets starts before he becomes a regular starter for Pep.

Plus he’s been out a year and just had another month out with a knee injury. Hardly any need to rush him with their options. Scored 3 great goals off the bench since his latest injury. Be very surprised if he’s on the bench later in the season if he can stay fit.

@Ric can we get some sort of moratorium/ban on discussing Leroy Sané in this thread?

It's supposed to be the Ferran Torres performance thread, not a space for bullshit rose-tinted memories of a Bayern Munich player who fucked off because his fucking mum called him home.

It would be bad enough if people were just constantly comparing the two, but now it's becoming just the same old posters coming up with increasingly inaccurate portrayals of Sané when he was here.

Fair point, let's keep this thread on topic please. There are other threads for discussing Sane.

Thought he was very good today, full of running and creating space for everyone else, a lot of the times he was ignored when making a run though.
