I think this lad is a very good player and promises to get even better in the future. Even so I think the transfer is the right course to follow and the deal is a good one. The club is getting twice what we paid for him and he wants to go, we are led to believe. City have not done Barcelona any favours on the fee because they may have to increase their already enormous debt to pay this fee, and could have some difficulty registering him anyway. And it removes his wages from our accounts and means that we can pay a player who comes in January or the summer. Sorry to see him go but there are positives to be taken.
