If we are swaping him for Frankie De Jong then its a great deal. Torres was an investment for us - one for the future and we are not reliant in any way on him as a player. So we don't lose much. And i dont see him getting much game time if he stays.

FDJ would give us an extra high quality player to fit in the midfield where we have less to pick from and some ageing players. He would get far more game time than Torres so we are a better squad for no outlay.

a little irrelevant, but just read a gossip article that his girlfriend is the daughter of luis enrique. maybe he just fancies a return to spain. just speculations
 
Appreciate that City aren't giving Barca a sweetheart deal at least like some and me thought we might because of our Barca heavy power structure. All the barca press after saying it was done last week are saying city arent budging this week, so it's either pay the price (seems like we want 50-55 mil pounds) or get lost.

FDJ is shit and overrated. Grealish and Foden are far better than him and as a CDM he is far worse than Rodri.
