I honestly cannot see any other interest in Torres

We’re doing HIM a favour and doubling our money. Nothing to do with them. Big clubs deal with things like this.

Disappointed to see him go if it comes to fruition but I hope we can get a decent replacement if not better in the next two windows and as some have said an opportunity for one of the youth to step up when required.

I really thought he could make the grade and be a permanent fixture in our best starting eleven and offered a little of what we don't currently have in spades but its hard for a player to say no to Barcelona that has grown up in Spain but only 21.

Think he’s a great player, he just doesn’t play in a position we need. If we can get a striker we want in January great, if not I’m happy waiting until the summer. Think we’ll win the league either way.

Why should we care?

We are not helping Barca out here. Booking this profit in gives more amo to throw at a big summer signing. We have ~£30m more to offer for Haaland than we would have if we didn't get this done. This puts us in a great position going into the January and summer transfer windows.
