The offside rule was brought in to stop goalhanging, not rule out goals for being 1mm closer to the goal than a defender.

So now we will have 3 minutes of var deciding whether the forwards heel was in line with the defenders head.
There was nothing wrong with the offside law in the first place, it is the useless/corrupt muppets making the decision
