Makes sense. Qatar 2022 caused chaos to fixture lists across the globe, so it's natural FIFA want to continue. - It also means they can award World Cups (to the highest bidder) without considering weather implications. WC Saudi 2034 for example.Tournament stage has been suggested.
Also, mid-season world cups disrupt the Champions League to a degree (final on 10th June FFS), and FIFA will do anything to reduce UEFA's power in the game.

Look at all the greedy people in suits carving up our game.
They literally have no shame and are stealing the sport from under our noses.

I'm intrigued as to what the sport will look like in 20 years when the real fans have fucked off, and the sport is left with hanger-ons, and plastics.
Probably look like American football with clubs hopping from one location to another.
