Ive done it in a previous car but for some reason can't get my head round this one. If i give the connections i've got could someone tell me which to connect to what? ive worked out the speaker wires easy enough but cant get any power.

the original ford fitted wires from the car are:-

- 1 thick orange/ black wire
- 1 Thick green/ black wire
- 1 thin orange/ black wire
- 1 thin blue/ black wire
- 1 thin yellow/ black wire

and coming from the stereo i have the usual wires of:-

Black- Earth
Orange- 12v + memory
Red- 12v +
Orange/ white- Power antenna

any help is much appreciated

Yeah you need an adaptor. What make is your stereo?

Go to a big halfords with the stereo model and car model and they'll have an adaptor (eg a "Ford to Sony" one).

Otherwise you'll need a Haynes manual, a load of scotchlocks and luck.
