How in the hell did the refurb pass building regs ?
Also, what's more shocking is they spent between 10 and 12 million (depending on which report you believe) pounds on the refurb and didn't put in a centralised fire alarm. How the fuck was that signed off by LFB?

That is what I think. From the looks of it is a concrete frame building so its hard to understand how it could spread in such a way.

If it goes up the cladding in the outside it will break through the windows into each flat

It's difficult to conceive of anything else. A fire should not spread so quickly in such a building in this day and age.

I think we all thought these buildings are designed to contain fire within every unit. This obviously hasn't happened and the reason for that needs to be explained.

People all over the country living in Tower blocks will rightly be asking how safe is their block.

The council and those who built it have a lot of hard questions to answer.

You see things like this happening in third world countries were building control is laxed or non existent, but not here surely?

More reports from survivors saying no alarm. That's just unacceptable.

Presumably the cladding must have met fire regs. If it did, the regulations will be changing very soon.
Someone on the radio said that the fire brigade did a recent inspection and passed it off as safe!
