People derive more pleasure from beating the likes of teams who are 'jumped up got-rich-quick' outfits than anything else. I posted in response to another thread yesterday that there isn't a team in the EPL, incl MANUre and BinDippers whose fans wouldn't swap our situation for theirs, provided CL status was maintained. Rich AND successful is the dream of many a fan, but it only comes to the odd one in this recession-hit world. Instead of wishing us well in light of all the crap we have had in the last two or three decades, the rest are choking at our good fortune and begrudging any throw-in, 50-50 ball, ticket prices, the lot, so if they can get three points as well, some would swap it for a lottery jackpot win!
