First day covers , old coins and an iron from 1975

Stamps - face value, any with the just the monarch’s head cannot be used as stamps now. Any special commemoratives with other pictures can still be used.
Coins - nowt
Iron - nowt

I'd be interested also, got loads in mint condition from the mid / late 60's. They just kept appearing in the post.....Seem to remember a firm called Stanley Gibbons/Gibsons in Manchester

Stanley Gibbons still going. Until you typed that I had completely forgotten that as I child I collected stamps. Nothing flash but loved receiving the little packs of exotic looking stamps from places I had to look up in the atlas.

My father in law died 3 weeks ago. We were over at his house sorting his stuff out etc. He has various books of Royal Mail first day covers in immaculate condition , some pre decimal coins and an unused Morphy Richard’s iron still in its original packaging from 1975.
I have no clue about the value of all this.
I googled the iron, they have the same one in the Science Museum.
The whole lot might be worth a few quid or more than likely next to nothing.
Any suggestions?
My suggestion would be to always use the Green Cross Code when crossing the road.

As to the iron and what have you, fuck knows.
