I received a fixed penalty notice for speeding and a £100 fine.....2 miles an hour over the permitted limit !

Anyway I have to surrender my license to them and pay the fine on line.

I am on driving holiday to France next month. Does anyone know how long they keep the license for before they return it ?

You not got the option of a speed awareness course? I would’ve thought 2mph over would be within the tolerance?

Did a speed awareness course 2 years ago. You cannot do another for 3 years!

Cheers!! It was a stretch of road that I use nearly every morning. Was aware that a camera was there there too !!

So were you doing 2mph over the widely accepted tolerance level, 10% + 2mph, so as an example 35 is tolerance in a 30 and you were flashed at 37, or was it 2mph over the actual speed limit?
