Made my day this. Lots of good, Saturday afternoon lower grade home fixtures, fairly evenly spaced, for matchday plebs like myself to get to. Would be nice to start and finish the season at home but otherwise can't wait. C'MON CITY!

At least the Champions League knockout games aren’t sandwiched between tougher games

I'd prefer us to play the tougher Prem games between the CL ties as the difficult league fixtures would be against teams in the CL. Thus, we would not be playing against teams who have had a week's rest.

Those fixtures stink.
Start away, end away, two away games over Christmas. A tough away game to start and a run of toughish fixtures to end the season.
Perfect for restricting City's trophy count.

The only saving grace is the fixtures either side of CL group games look reasonable at first glance.

There’s 5 teams in our position and three have had events on the pitch this season:

Us - concerts
Dippers - concert
Wolves - International’s
Forest - nothing
Brighton - nothing

West Ham had the Socceraid same time as the last Sheeran concert at the Etihad, presuming The London Stadium pitch will be relaid and they’re at home first game I’m not sure if the City request is just a myth, I know it happened at Maine Road to squeeze in a Jean-Michel Jarre concert and not disputing it could be the case but I think the 53 days available until the 5th August to lay and bed in a pitch is more than enough time.
The stadium affects the pitch, and West Ham's is nowhere near the pitch so probably won't need replacing as often, or they may chose not too.

I have no idea how long it takes to prepare a hybrid pitch.

I’m the same. The games you don’t want after the Champions League fixtures are mid table/Europa challenging teams away IMO

Be a tough game against the Hammers but a very attractive fixture with some really good footballers on show.

The scandal is the 8 day gap either side of the World Cup. No one is going to want to get to the LC semis as Jan will be carnage.
