Fixtures for 18/19 season

I'd actually take it away if I were you!

I would too, the alogos used to generate the fixtures do not have any such rules embedded in them, and it’s not an FA generated list either. The only messing comes from rearrangement due to cups and euro fixtures and even more from TV interference.

Just to add the bits that effect are the 2 or 3 home games in a sequence of 5, or other way round and no more than 2 home or away games in a row prior to rescheduled games (tv or other competitions).

What a stitch up! "Top 6" games are adjacent to 5 of our Champions league ganes. 4 after, 1 before.

Liverpool have it similar but theirs are before

Everyone would only moan that we’d get a top 6 team last game anyway so I’m not arsed
The big TV money is in the top six games hence they are spaced out so there is roughly one a week for the entire season. None on the last day generally makes sense as most seasons the league is over before the last round of fixtures. The process of course is far from random but in general it is relatively satisfactory.

I presume its already been covered but 3 weeks seems unusually long between the season ending and the Champions League Final taking place. Even 2 weeks between the FA Cup and the Champions League is a bit of a gap.

Seriously pissed off I can't find the dates for League (Carabao) cup ties - except the final - anywhere!

These dates assume it takes place on the Tuesday but could easily be Wednesday (maybe even Thursday) of each week.

Round 3 - 25th September
Round 4 - 30th October
Quarters - 18th December
Semi 1st Leg - 8th January
Semi 2nd Leg - 22nd January
Final - Sunday 24th February

very interesting that we play pool and spurs away after our CL2 & CL3 games..... as well as the scum after CL 4.
That has Sky's fingerprints all over it, get the focus back on their PL coverage after BT have hogged the limelight with the CL fixtures. It was the same last season with two big derbies sandwiched between the two legs of the CL QF, far from ideal for either us or the dippers or indeed the rags if they'd made it that far.
