The biggest joke last season: those twats over the road never play Monday night League games, so the 2010/2011 season kicks off on a Saturday after mid week friendly Internationals. Our players return to City on Thursday for the first game and have 2 days to prepare and get to Spurs for a 12:45 kick off on the Saturday. Guess what, those fuckers get a Monday night game against Newcastle at home ensuring all their players get a nice five days clear and a game at the swamp on a Monday night, when it fucking suits, bent bastards.

One reason they rarely play on Monday night is because they're always in the CL, a benefit that we'll see next season.
Correct, so their scheduled Monday night games are played on a Tuesday.

There are only 6 Champions League games from middle August to middle December, thats 17 weeks but those fuckers never play Mondays, its something they requested a few years ago but as I said when it suited last season, opening day, suprise, suprise, they get their own way.

Well to be honest, it's our fault they had a home game first last season, as we asked for our home game to be changed due to City Square not being ready. If we hadn't have done that United would have been away on the Saturday as planned, unless it was changed for tele. Either way though they should have been away.

I'll go:

First: Everton (H)
Last: Villa (H)

I thought we'd established that the Champions start at home, which meant we can't.

Or have I missed something?

There are also 4 rounds scheduled for the Carling Cup between those dates and Sky generally avoid Monday night PL games in those weeks so that leaves 7 possible Monday dates for CL teams, take away 3 international weeks and that leaves at most 4 possible Monday nights when CL teams could be shown, not much to divide between 4 teams.

Don't, you'll ruin his theory that everyone is out to help United. ;-)

We could play Saturday, they will play Sunday

Highly unlikely.

We'll end up away to Everton first game of the season, and then away to West Brom last game.

I'm interested in who we play the weekend of the 25th/26th November more than anything, I'm in New York so no doubt it'll be a tasty home match!

so - who has been at home for the 1st game and the last game of the season for the last 2 seasons I think!!

That would be a big enough stretch of any view that the draw is not 'influenced'

But also - if my memory serves me right - have these games not be against newly promoted teams - just beyond 'the luck of the draw' - fucking stinks

Well the start of the 2009/2010 season United were rightly at home, as they won the league the previous season.
The start of the 2010/2011 season, United were initially drawn away because Chelsea were champions, and we had a home game first. But, as stated already, City Square wasn't finished so we requested an away game, meaning United started at home.
