what fuckin difference does it make?
don't you actually play every team home and away?
don't you actually play every team home and away?
Imagine you were talking to a brick wall now, that is what its like trying to tell people on here what you've just said. People are convinced the fixtures are rigged but like you say, you have to play everyone twice anyway so it really doesn't matter. I'm purposely staying off here tomorrow because it will be full of people moaning about the 'conspiracy', and it will do my proper fucking head in, meaning i'll do everyone elses head in telling them they are paranoid.clowns pockets said:what fuckin difference does it make?

its naive to think it really works like thatMatty said:clowns pockets said:what fuckin difference does it make?

It's naive to believe when you play a team isn't important. Play a Fulham, or a Bolton, in the last couple of games and you're more likely to get a decent result should you need it, Their season will likely be over and they'll be going through the motions. Play a top side early on when they haven't got into the rhythm and again you'll have a better chance. It's not vitally important when you play teams, but it has a bearing. I'm not saying it's fixed by the way.
You see, I have an issue with this point.clowns pockets said:what fuckin difference does it make?

But, say it's then mid December and United, (who had easier fixtures when we got hammered v Chelsea), then have to go to Stamford Bridge. Cold, tired and not up for it. We however have Wigan at home, who they had on the opening game. They get beat at the Bridge and we beat Wigan, thus everything has equalled itself out in the way the league is designed, by everyone playing each other twice.MCFC BOB said:You see, I have an issue with this point.clowns pockets said:what fuckin difference does it make?

Say City play Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and get hammered 4-0. The players are down, and the fans are angry. Who would you rather play in the next three ? West Brom at home, Swansea away and then Liverpool at home, or Arsenal at home, Everton away and then Bolton at home? A run of a couple of hard games could actually affect the results later on in the season.
I don't think the fixtures are rigged or organised with an bias, but the way the fixtures are set out has a larger effect than people think.
