Mathieu Flamini has rejected a two-year deal from AC Milan amid reports of interest from Manchester City.
The 29-year-old is currently out of contract after a five-year spell at the seven-time European champions following his departure from Arsenal in 2008.

The France international scored four goals and made one assist in 18 appearances for the Rossoneri last term, and Milan have rewarded the midfielder with a two-year deal.

But the former Gunners star’s agent Alexandra Missirli revealed Flamini wants a long-term deal with the Milan side.

“The club did offer us a two-year extension,” Missirli told L’Equipe.

“But, considering what he brought to the club, Mathieu wanted a longer deal.

“He is refusing to consider his future at AC Milan.”

Flamini, who is being linked with the Citizens, has scored eight goals in 122 appearances for Milan after moving to the San Siro from the Gunners

He's a Southampton level signing now and we could sign much better such as Kondogbia for £8.5m if we wanted another midfielder. Has anyone watched Flamini lately? He's not the same player he was for Arsenal.
