Considering a lot of what Radio 1 plays is shite, I'd consider that a compliment!

Once they relocated to the States mid 70s, they all seemed to sleep with each other at various times. Maybe that was the secret of their success ?

Particularly love the album Rumours - titled because of all the shenanigans that was going on within the band.

There's some cracking documentaries of the album (Classic Albums being one of them) and the relationships within the band and the breakdown of relationships within the band.

For me, it must have been all the tensions within the band which heightened the songs on the album - just a great album

Makes the hairs on my neck stand up every time I hear the last bits of stevie nicks belting that out . For me rather than a Buckingham shag fest , this shows how the sum of the parts could come together for rumours, an all time great and tusk to a lesser degree

I love the Peter Green era of FM they were fantastic, a blues band with No 1 hits, but not the girly version. Didn't like Rumours.

I liked Rumours and one or two other new era FM albums, but much prefer the early stuff with Peter Green.

Liked pretty much everything from Mystery to Me up through Mirage; Rumours best (maybe the fifth or sixth record I ever bought); Tusk underrated IMO. In the top ten of bands for cocaine consumption (there were five of them during much of this iteration after all). Hampered by them only really hitting the states after Green though so maybe a deeper examination of their earlier work is warranted. Definitely love over hate given those two options.

The documentary that gets shown on Sky Arts occasionally about the making of Rumours is worth a watch. Shows how the relationships and breakdown thereof affected things.
