So my wife and eldest daughter were on a plane from Manchester to Belfast tonight and while waiting for take off two people started smoking on the plane. When a stewardess asked them to stop they refused and then stubbed a cigarette out on the stewards hand. Needless to say they were then escorted off the plane. The first action is bizarre the second is ridiculous.

I work at the airport, and I don't know if the stress of air travel these days scrambles peoples' brains, but it does bring the worst behaviour out of some passengers.

There are some really nasty people around that lose all sense of reason at times, and you can't understand why they are acting the way they do.

They'll quite happily twat a bus driver because their flight has been cancelled, or threaten someone working in Boots for the same reason.

It's the absolute minority, as hundreds of thousands of people pass through the airport every month without any melodramatic nonsense, but they exist.

It would be easier to understand it if they were all drunk, but they're not.

Explains much of what can be seen at Glasgow Airport. :-(

Were they nordies?

Were they time travellers from the 80s? Because why else would you think you can fucking smoke on a plane.
