Florian Wirtz - City withdraw interest according to Jack Gaughan and others (p543)

I am sad & disappointed for not getting new shiny toy this summer, but the reality is Foden has to step up and fill the void of KDB.

Wirtz is #10 , plays behind the striker to create and score

Phil has done it before and should do it again, he can't have two off consecutive seasons !

If he can't do it, then Marmoush, Oscar, Echeverri & Mcatee or even O'Reilly might step to fill the #10 role.

Totally agree

Foden was our player of the season last year, even if he hasn't quite matched the unreal expectations people had for him he's among the very best in the world

he's just having a bad season, we all know that, and he's not the only one

And how many times exactly has that happened?

From the moment Bayern missed out on Boeteng and Sane they were in their ear and both were advised to run their contracts down. Bayern openly agreed terms with Boeteng and announced his signing without agreeing anything with City.

Let Phil get his illness sorted and get him in behind Haaland. On form he's as good as anybody.
