Not really, both of them can’t play football songs on the piano…:)Wirtz and Sanchez are on different planets footballing wise.

That’s not the issue, if it was we wouldn’t have signed anyone in last 18 months.Makes sense if the consensus is correct.
Unless Wirtz has some ties to/reason to prefer Liverpool to us, though, the consensus opinion seems suspect. If I were Wirtz I'd be concerned about:
1) Playing in the C/L next year; and
2) Pending charges against City
#1 is solved - we've qualified for the C/L
#2 who knows? - maybe that's the issue
I think if it was a case of paying a little more we would have done.Cheers.
Couching your objection in terms of "over dramatic" is unnecessary.
You think that Wirtz isn't worth the price Liverpool are willing to pay.
I think that he is.
And if he is, and if he's as good in the P/L as I think he'll be, I'm well justified in calling it a disaster - because, if I'm right about Wirtz's quality, we would have let a generational player transfer to one of our main competitors for the P/L title when we might possibly have had him in our squad if only we'd have been willing to pay a little more.
Is this what a RAWK meltdown looks like???Really quite sad, reading some of the posts on this thread. Some serious mental health issues and desperate dans.
Yes, that waa different. We didn't want him for that price. We allowed Alexis Sanchez to transfer to United, and it wasn't a disaster.
I see a Delph moment coming.... Last minute change of mind :)Public knowledge about this transfer - nil.
Posting about this transfer - huge.
Conclusion...
Trust me, I'm tempted. But the whinging and moaning on here would be biblical. They don't call it BlueMoan for nothing! And I don't need the hassle, so I'll leave it until he signs for another club. However, if another mod should see fit to close the thread; well....Fuck me.Close the thread.
He isn't coming. Accept, box it away and move on.
I understand posters wanting to close this thread and those wanting to continue to engage with it. This is a unique transfer, we want him, we need him, we can afford him. We are not being outbid, we are not losing him to the likes of Real or Bayern or the Rags, we are losing him to our title rivals Liverpool for a discount price.Trust me, I'm tempted. And the reason for that is?I understand posters wanting to close this thread and those wanting to continue to engage with it. This is a unique transfer, we want him, we need him, we can afford him. Pep loves gundogan !:)And the reason for that is?
Or it’s a bank holiday and the parade todayNot trying to bring up any hopes, but that transfer has gone eerily quiet. Maybe someone threw a spanner in there.
I think at this point we deserve to be quoted, mocked and ridiculed over at Redandwhitekop or whatever site those wankers most frequently useI realise I may be clutching at straws here but hear me out.
City flew Wirtz and his family over. City agree a deal with Wirtz.
Leverkusen ask us to cool interest whilst they do their business.
Bayern Munich press leak stories about Liverpool to hinder their negotiations, because they have knowledge about Wirtz agreeing a deal with another club.
There is still hope…
Since the 1st bid submitted, there has been no news at all. I'd like to think that liverpool pissed bayer leverkusen off that now the deal is getting complicated. I dont know, maybe....Or it’s a bank holiday and the parade today
Nah, forget three in a row — I want five in a row. That’s the next target. Total dominance.if he indeed fucks off to Liverpool I hope he will regret it and that is up to us to rack up trophies on their expense...
win 3x in a row, get Slot fired, and let Wirtz drink the piss then. I bet he would run off to Uli Hoeness...
