Phil Foden has been nominated for Premier League Young Player of the Season 2021/22.

Foden, who won last season's prize, has been included on the eight-man shortlist comprised entirely of England internationals.

Fans have until 18:00 on Monday 16 May to cast their vote. The winner will be revealed on Saturday 21 May.

I thought the FA had changed the age eligibility a year or so back after criticism that anyone over 21 at the start of the season could not really be considered young.

Trent Derby is currently 23 years old. Maybe Jizzy Shinguard is still in with a shout.

These individual honours rarely go where they should. If the media is corrupt and biased then the results of crap like this are as well.
