Yep it is! Those young lads at Crewe (episode 2) really don’t get the risks they are putting themselves in behaving like that. Imagine being a proper Crewe fan and having to share a stand with them bellends every away game.

They are taken ‘Youth Division’ to e whole new level. Most of them can barely be out of primary school, never mind big school.

Although even more embarrassing were the grown men from Walsall rising to the bait and actually getting worked up over a few children giving them shit.

From what I remember it seemed to be singular. There were other guys in the same colours but they were Operational football officers. They have specialist training to work as spotters, but I think they do other jobs for the rest of the time.

He was getting really worked up wasn’t he! Saying that not as worked up as the Port Vale fan! How he didn’t get arrested I don’t know along with that smug goon from Stoke.

Not sure about the cop at Scunthorpe (although he seemed decent enough) advising the 11 year old kid who got hit by a flare to maybe come back for the relegation bank holiday game against ….Oldham! The Oldham kids wandering through a housing estate and park with the coppers on the two mile trot to the station whilst Scunthorpe “youth risk” were hiding behind houses and trees was hilarious! One of the Oldham kids even high fived a copper when he got back to the station.

If all this Youth crap is arranged by social media then that’s the evidence right there.

There’s packs of them all over the country now. The Police welcome for Hereford at Tamworth last season was vast.

Jimmy Hill orders the Sunderland score to be flashed up on the scoreboard...... the last 10 mins becomes a farce as both teams refuse to attack amd just kicking the ball to another team mate across the field with the other team making no attempt to get the ball off them.....

Our form teacher was a Sunderland fan. He took some ribbing the next morning - seemed to take it in good spirits until we saw the next Maths test - ouch!

If they throw us to the Wolves and we end up in the wilderness then they will have effectively cut their own throats, deep down fans of other clubs will know what has happened and in time the trust in the competition will go.

It'll not be worth watching.
 
Twas about to watch episode 3 on that there Catch Up, but then they (CH4) chucked Italia 90 on again n all the fun n games that came with it, more entertainment...

Slightly off topic but relevant to this post. I was watching old episodes of "Welcome to Wrexham" last week, one of the episodes was about football hooligans who follow them. There was a pretty and smart girl who was with a hooligan. Her dream was to be in the police but failed the background checks because of his record. I was mystified as to how she was still with him. Men must be thin on the ground in Wrexham!!
 
Background checks must be thorough because I needed enhanced DBS for the civil service and didn’t need to disclose relationships / family.

I think the police are very detailed in the background checks. My sons ex girlfriend had her checks done when she joined the force, they wanted to know my wife's family name in her home country.
