Football Manager 2011 - Name your Legends

Hi all,

I was talking to the Man City researcher over on the Sports Interactive forums concerning the City Legends, Icons and Favoured Personnel.

For these who don't play the game, this is a list of those people who consider to be important in the history of the club, that is found in the team information.

After it was found that Allison was omitted from the list, we suggested that perhaps we could ask you guys, to see if anybody else was particularly missed.

Here is the list as it stands:

Legends: Sheikh Mansour, Joe Mercer, Billy Meredith, Tony Book, Francis Lee, Colin Bell, Mike Summerbee, Bert Trautmann

Icons: Paul Lake, Niall Quinn, Paul Dickov, Tommy Johnson, Neil Young, Uwe Rosler, Richard Dunne, Jim Cassell, Joe Corrigan, Georgi Kinkladze, Paul Power, Shaun Goater, Alan Oakes, Ali Bernarbia, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Joe Royle, Paul Simpson

Favoured Personnel: None.

Just a quick note on Mansour and on Tevez:

The thing with Tevez is I had Stephen Ireland as a favoured personnel last year and a year later I have to delete him. Tevez although loved at the moment is certainly the type of player who I can see leaving at anytime... [snipped] ...so I'm not sure

You can't just have a limited number in each category so i'd limit each to say 10 unless there's 1or 2 glaring omission or something. For Favourite Personnel it used to be that you can only have people in who's actually still in the game, so if you see some people in there and think wtf is he in there for, that's why. We can have whoever we want in each category now. I have the Sheik down as a legend because theres no other way of having him in the game as he isn't the Chairman and theres nothing like an Owner option or anything to include him, so felt that was the best way to acknowledge him the game

So, do people have any suggestions so that we can nail this down a bit better?

Also, the changes will not be made until January, when he gets the database back.

I see no mention of Frank Swift, Roy Paul or Peter Doherty, all greats in their day.

Favoured personnel, that's just like fans favourites surely? I think Tevez would fit that fairly well, even if he's not exactly known for sticking around too long.

Frank swift and Roy Paul were the 2 most obvious ones omitted

After all the Wooney lovers this last week, I wouldn't be suprised if he was put on here as a Legend!

Goater should be a Legend, in my opinion.

Maybe Nicky Weaver as an Icon, again IMO.
