do Ajax have a wage cap?

Yes, 3 chomps per week. Also, on FM and in real life they have only spent £200 on the squad. SSN said so.

...

It's just I started out with them and couldn't get them to raise my wage budget above 34.5k a week per player.

I was only taking the piss orignally m8. Only things i can think off is to adjust the budget, request more funds in the boardroom or offer players you are trying to sign a key role (dangerous if they aren't starters).

Well, I'm progressing well with Oldham so far.

The board expected a mid-table finish at best however, after 10 games, I'm sitting two points clear the top.

I've played the 4 teams below me already and picked up some good results against 3 od them, only Hartlepool spanked me 4-2 at Boundary Park.

Just signed James Beattie on a free transfer so I'm adding a little depth to my squad now. Jose Baxter is an animal.

Really liking this game so far. Although, let's see if I'm still enjoying it as much when I hit a sticky patch which, inevitably, will happen!

I know mate, just didn't have anything to say to it lol.

Injuries and fatigue are really taking their toll now, despite me tinkering as much as I can to maintain performance levels.

Lost my last two games 2-0 & 4-1 and that has demoted my Oldham side to 3rd with a game in hand but 7pts from the top.

I've bagged James Beattie & Emile Mpenza on free transfers but I need some more depth in my squad.

Anyone know of some decent young 'uns out there?

After playing the demo, I think I'll stick with FM 2010. No way should it take 3-4 hours to complete a pre-season.

That's why there is a classic mode in the full game, can do a season in that time. :)
