Football Manager 2013

Started a game with City and won the league, CL, and FA Cup in the my first season. Second season fucked it off after Christmas when I was ten points clear in the league.

Tried a game with Liverpool. Finished second behind City (two points behind them), and won the EUROPA league in the first season.

Wingers are scoring lots of goals at the moment which I've no doubt will change in the final version. Although as things stand I don't have a problem with it! Also think the GK's need a tweak during the match engine. Too many apparent howlers.

Player wise the only one that's jumped out is Bernard from At Mineiro. Signed him in the Liverpool game. Finished the first season joint top scorer with Suarez and top assist maker. The other one was Rodrigo from Benfica. His stats are much better than in the previous game. Brought him in in January and he settled right in and got amongst the goals.

Overall I love the feel of the new game. The interface is much improved and much smoother (having a new laptop helps). The whole thing seems easier to navigate.
How long did it take to do a season?

Waiting until the winter break to pick up a copy, would probably end up failing college if I started now

Think I'll stay with my Newport County game on 2012 until Xmas and all the bugs are worked out of this one.

Actually doing well without cheating for once, in my 5th season and in the championship (finished 10th last season) Transfer budget for first 4 seasons was £10k,£10k, £10k and £3k so not bad really.

only won 1 out of 7 start of this season though and struglling defensively.

Just started my second season with Stalybridge Celtic in the Bet Square North. Was aiming for the play offs but the wage bill was full of rubbish squad players so was difficult to bring any quality in besides on loan.

Start of this season I've closed down the youth setup , let a lot of fringe player go on a free and replaced my assistant manager with some of the wages.

Got my core squad down to 16 better paid players with better abilities. Will supplement that with 4 season long loans and then 2 short term loans at a time to bring it up to 22.

I know no one will find that that interesting but at least it's helped remind me why Im actually bothering playing the thing.

Enjoying this new one ATM. Started a career with Oldham (unsurprisingly) but my transfer & wage budgets are non-existent so this is quite a challenge!

I've signed Wabara (City) and Parrett (Spurs) on loan for the season as well as Villa full back Lichaj. Brought in Alberto Comazzi on a free transfer (Italian CB) and just before the season started, managed to bring in Sunderland's David Meyler on loan for the season. That, along with Lee Croft, is my 5 loans done.

Got drawn against Derby at home in the 1st round of the COC and beat them 1-0 (Croft played for some reason, even though it was against his parent club, so maybe that's another bug), and then won my first two league games 1-0 & 4-2, so a decent start.

Love the new layout though, seems easier to glide through screens.
