Been playing a 4-3-1-2 with my team at the moment like this:

Hart

Corchia Kompany Lescott Baines

Milner Toure Silva

Nasri

Guidetti/Tevez Aguero



Tried signing a few wonderkids but cant get them at all, Bernard, Ademilson etc so will try again in either Jan or next season.

I've signed Falcao and Fellani and have been playing around with a 4-1-2-1-2 and 4-3-1-2 formation. What tactics do you use? City seem to be better playing direct rather than short? And do you change the passing tactics during a match often?
 
The online part of the game seems a bit better, if anyone fancies a bluemoon league it should be easy enough to create.

Well i've swapped mine around a bit now and played either the formation i listed or like you, a 4-1-2-1-2.

Garcia seems to get a lot better too as he plays more games, i was tempted to buy Fellani but stuck with Garcia and signed a defender instead.

Also, i should add that i change my strategy and style depending on the team i'm facing. So if i'm playing utd or chelsea i tend not to use control and go for balanced. Although in that Barca game, i completely forgot and demolished them using control tactics lol
 
Haven't got the game yet but i'm hoping that i'll start a season with city and try and have a line up like this in 5 seasons:

On my Man City save, I'm at the 12th of february and cruising in the league.

I'm on 66 points after 27 games but Chelsea have 3 games in hand and on 47 points.

Hart

Maicon. Kompany. Victor Luiz. Clichy.

Javi Garcia. Yaya Toure.

Lennon. Nasri. Silva.

Dzeko.
 
Started unemployed, got the Feyenoord job but left after a fortnight. Joined N'castle, finished 9th and got beat in the final of Europa League off Napoli. Left after that game and I'm now at Bayern Munich, I want to stay there for a long time but I'm struggling to find a good tactic.

Any advice on tactics, I played on the counter with N'castle but want to play a little bit more expansively now I'm at a top club.

I've got all Bayern's top players, as I'm only in the 2nd season plus Llorente (free) and Guddetti and Affelay on loan
 
Bloody hell, is this game bugged or what! Makes Bethesda's games look flawless!

Love FM but had to return this one to the store. Will just buy it again in January for half the price, by which time they should have figured out some fixes.

Back to CM 97/98 for me then.
 
Playing FM for the first time since around 06/07, it got so complex and time consuming for me in recent years I didn't bother. But this Classic Mode has brought me back and is like playing the older games.

In my first season I managed Napoli using their counter attacking style that brought us to our knees last season. Finished 2nd in Serie A (Juventus are god-like in FM just like in the real Serie A and very hard to match), won the Italian Cup, and runner-up in the Europa League (bloody Liverpool).

Enjoying it a lot, Cavani, Inler, and Hamsik are brilliant for Napoli just like in real life. I also took Guidetti on loan and he did OK as a backup striker.

and my bench/reserves Rodwell, OX Chamberlain, Srerling, Abel Hernandez, Oscar, Clichy, Carriazo, Llorente, Lescott

Won the Prem in my first season & FA Cup & Champs League in the second
