I wasnt lucky enough to go to the match last night and had to watch it on tele, with a very dodgy cameraman!. In truth Hamburg looked like a very good team and made us look poor.
Those at the ground will have seen the ' bigger picture ', so were they as good as they looked, were we that bad and above all, do we have any realistic hopes for next week?

I went to the game and yes they were good. Going behind didn't phase them and we allowed far too many crosses to come in to the box, which resulted in all 3 goals.

I couldn't believe how many times I saw Richards wandering back after we lost the ball and yet again Robinho started with lots of energy and drifted out of the game.

We aren't completely out of it, but we'll need to score at least 3 goals next Thursday as they will get at least 1 goal.

A big effort all round needed, from the fans and the players. Whatever happens, it should be a night to remember!

we were outplayed from the 2nd minute till the end, by players earning a fraction of our superstars.

time for city's present incumbants to show they are the real deal, and not charlatans.

from the manager all the way down, it isnt anywhere near good enough, and instead of people molly cuddling them, its time to see what they are made of.

its been feeble for way too long.

We had far to many passengers last night, players ball watching. They were good but we made them look better. Their set piece play was good, but our back four became a back two far to many times.
I have to disagree about Robby he never stopped chasing even when his supply failed.
Now Richards fancies himself as a goal keeper.

i think that we scored that goal to early . They responded exactly how you should . They were a good organised team ......not over yet we can beat anyone at home

Have to say I agree with that. They looked a very good side last night - no doubt Jol has played a significant part in that. Although we're not totally out of it we'll need to step up our game a hell of a lot to stand any chance of turning it around. And with us going forward, we'll be vulnerable at the back of course.

Richards has to be taking the piss. At one point he was walking back from the half way line and it left Benjani to play Right back!

Richards was by far the worst player on the pitch.

The camerman pissed me of too, half the bloody time the ball wasn't even on the screen so i didnt know what the fuck was going on.

They're good going forward when given the time and space that we gave them last night but I don't believe their defence is that great if we get behind them as we did in the first minute but not too often afterwards. Oh for a quality box-to-box midfielder last night to fill an obvious gap in the team.
