    RIP his dad Albert was responsible for the Mercer/Alison era, a wonderful time for Blues of my age.

    R.I.P. Eric. I don’t really know how the Club was run before Swales but he sounds like a good guy.

    I play 5 a side with one his grandsons who’ve told me some good tales.

    A story goes that Albert went into the City dressing room after the FA Cup final win against Birmingham, congratulated the team for a wonderful display stating the club had earned a substantial amount of money and would now be able to go out and buy some really decent players!!! Good old Albert.
