Former Referees's pretty shocking claim (Aguero related)

So is he saying he saw it but got his decision wrong? And how can City be basing the appeal on the fact that he DID see it and therefore the ban is inappropriate?

The issues isn't wether he elbowed him or not, the issue is are the PL going against their own rules. Replays can only be used if the ref didn't see it, not see it but got it wrong

Now, it's very hard to prove what someone did or didn't see but it looks like the referee did therefore TV evidence should be inadmissible

Personally, I'm an all or nothing man. I'd re-referee every game and ban people wether the ref saw it or not. However, that isn't how the rules stand

look like he is trying to push this which should be the case ... but won't sky ask him to STFU?

If this had come out in the press on Monday, Mariner would have been under extra pressure to be more truthful about seeing the Aguero Reid incident. I guess timing is everything.

This is the logic I struggle to understand. IF he was 'gonna do us' and he saw Aguero, why not just send him off there and then?

He might have forgotten to 'look' for the opportunity to do us, and then, lo and behold, the FArce provide him with a second bite of the cherry.

Anyway TLWYS, when I joined this forum nobody mentioned logic!
