Theres rules and guidelines on how high, low or wide something can be with a minimum and maximum specification on a car. It’s then up to a designers and interpretation of the rules, the McClaren looks a bit wider at the back on the engine cover and the Aston Martin tapers in a bit more, there’s also slits down the side of the engine cover on the Aston Martin I haven’t seen incorporated on other cars.

Some teams will get this very wrong and spend the rest of the year catching up. Some teams will find some gold in the regulations and be out in front. Can’t wait for preseason testing to begin so we can see what these cars are like on track.

It’ll be interesting to see if red bull have streamlined their brown envelope delivery system :-)

I don’t think anyone will be until they get them out on the track. Aston Martin wanted to get the car out there as soon as possible to get to grips with any gremlins. Others are leaving it late and not showing anything, these cars will have a lot more universal standard parts than there has been before, the back markers like Haas and Alfa Romeo will get 45 percent more wind tunnel time than Mercedes and Red Bull. It will be a lot closer this year I think and more teams getting on the podium.

Good question, wind tunnels are expensive. However every team now has a budget cap to adhere too so the likes of Mercedes can’t just throw money at it. Alfa Romeo do have a similar budget to Mercedes this year, Guanya Zhou driving for them has led to a lot of sponsorship coming in from China.
 
So the Abu Dhabi inquiry just drags on and on, they are hoping we all will forget what happened.

the biggest problem for me was at no stage was max winning the last race and lewis was fully in control
forget the other races and the points lewis was world champion based on the last race until the crash and safety car.
now how can it be a fair race when both cars are on different tyres in a last lap shootout ?

michael masi was taking orders from red bull and even video evidence saying the same thing about lapped cars
and christian horner saying just give us one lap. why did max deserve a 1 lap shoot ? he was so far behind lewis

the race should have ended under the safety car with the same standing order with lewis better on the day max 2nd
michael masi has to be sacked before the new season and a new panel of people and not one race director controlling the races. also red bull should be punished and stripped on all points from both cars in the last race

For some reason, might be witchcraft, all cars telemetry are fed into a giant computer of the sort only NASA would use and are then scrutinised by the boffins working for the big cheeses of Formula One. You park up you better have a good reason buddy.

He could have crashed though. Must be reasonably easy to spin an F1 car without it looking deliberate.

Bottas would've likely told them to shove it considering he was being let go.

Their next best option would've been to have use Russell in the Williams but he had retired with car issues earlier in the race. And his Williams team mate was the reason for what happened anyway. So they ran out of magic bullets.

but the race director michael masi was in red bulls pocket and was cheating for them ? also why did it take so long to clear the car ? i smell a rat with the crashed car as well.

something else does not add up ? why the race was not red flagged or if it was deemed not bad enough then use VSC ?
then talking over the radio saying all teams were told by race control that no cars would be allowed to un-lap themselves in order to ensure the race could resume ? only to change it to the 5 cars and not letting them get back behind the other cars at the back ??

it stinks and michael masi was wrong and in red bulls pocket. clearly seen and heard over the radio bowing to orders from red bull he even used the line its called racing to toto wolf ??
