This one looks pretty clear cut. Poland haven't been good and were fortunate to go through in the end. France have been good, you can't really judge them on the Tunisia game because they pretty much rested everybody.

The winner of this plays England or Senegal.

Can't see past a French win, really. Poland are an average side with one outstanding player. And I don't think that'll be enough to sneak a win.

As a Pole Im looking forward to this one obviously, but we all know it would take maybe a surprise of a decade, if not more, to get through hear. A little sad state of affairs, because we should be much better generally with players we have: Szczęsny (Juve and absolutely top form in Quatar), Zieliński (Napoli, one may say he is a star there), Lewa, Milik (Juve, not looking out of his depth there), Matty Cash, Zalewski (Roma), Szymański (Feyenoord), Zurkowski (Fiorentina), Bednarek (Aston Villa), Piątek (Salernitana), Glik (Benevento, old, but experienced and a fighter), Bereszynski (Sampdoria), Gumny (Augsburg).

Hard to say why we cannot convert this talent to a decent showing. Game against Argentina was really, really poor, but the worst part is against Mexico and SA it had not been significantly better, bar results.

Our manager is too conservative with the talent we have. Zieliński shines for arguably the best team in Europe in a very attacking side but is stifled in this set up. But it’s knock out football now and anything can happen.

I just don’t fancy getting beat of England in the next round though.

Rio was talking about Mbappe and Lewandowski. Best strikers in the world…along with Benzema. Now I know it’s the World Cup but Haaland does not exist. If he was playing in red wio wouldn’t shut up about it.
