As it's around 1000 feet to the valley floor, I thought the 'plane may have flown under it rather than above it! It must have been quite a sight from the air, as you'd be at around 35,000 feet at that point.You’ve lost me there g?
Wibble.Spent some time on the Somme this summer. Stunningly beautiful place...with an appalling history. Best holiday in years though, loved it.

La Rochelle to Ile de Ré? Not been over it at night but looks familiar.
Been over that one too, first time we went to france in 1992. Stayed a a campsite called Les Charmettes near the Palmyre Zoo. The girls, now 36 and 32, still say it was the best holiday they ever had.Mainland to Ile d'Oleron. Boring really but the pic makes it look good.
